Mystery switch on injection pump
Hello, My Volvo 940 has been suffering from cold start issues. Depressing this switch (to the right of the accelerator lever) on the injection pump seems to help it start, but what is its purpose, some kind of glow plug cut off switch? I've never seen anything like it despite owning quite a few older diesels. |

hi sorry to here your starting problem. i don't have a answer but these engines start first time every time unless its glow plugs or other issues .had mine 12 years the car has done 197000 miles . i swop all 6 glow plugs every 4 years it is easy to test glow plugs 1-4 if any are dead then change the lot
