Default Roof Rails

I am looking to fit a pair of roof rails to my 940 estate. Before I start drilling holes in my roof panel, Has anyone on this forum got any pointers/experience, on how to do this job? How difficult is it to do?
Any help on this matter would be most appreciated.
Thanks. Kev.

Here's how I fitted 940 roof rails to my Toyota Surf.

Don't know if there's any fittings in the Volvo roof to help or hinder.

I'm new to volvo's but last week i was talking with a long serving volvo mechanic who told me that it was a 9 hour job , ( not sure if that was volvo's service time or just how long it took first time) but due to the number he had done he had got it down to 1 1/2 hours.

Have you got a sunroof?

If you remove the roof lining you can see how it fits and I believe the fitting kits can be purchased still.
