XC70 back wiper not working
Hi
as the title says, fuse is fine and I can here the realy ticking on intermittant but I can only get 12v on the permanent supply at the motor, from what I can guess there is a permanent live, a switched live and earth?? is this correct? Anybody got any know faults on wiring or can I rig up another 12v supply to the motor to test it? |

I only know this as my dad had trouble with his that was fixed under warranty - they said the wiring is weak on the XC70 where the look goes from the car to the tailgate, it bends and eventually breaks the cables, worth a look for damaged cabling.
Sorry it's a bit vague, but it's all I know. |

It's very easy to remove the rear panel on the tailgate. Four screws and some poppers and it's off. Check with your meter from chassis to the plug connections to see if there's a permanent +12VDC.

I've allready done that and have a 12v permanent supply but no "switched" supply as far as i can tell, what i want to do is put a "switched" supply direct from the battery to that connection to test the motor to prove that its a wiring fault. Only problem is I don't know which connection is the switched live, I also don't understand why there it needs a permanent live to the motor????
