V40 2000 2.0L auto - dipped headlight failure

Hi people,

I have a problem with my v40 and need help and advice.

Problem
I have noticed that the dipped lights have stopped working on both sides. The main beam works when activated. The side lights still work as running lights and when selected. It is almost like when the headlights are selected the dipped function does not work.

Actions
I have checked and replaced both bulbs with no success. I believe I have checked the two fuses within the engine fuse box as shown in the manual for left and right dipped headlights. These are also fine.

I am now at a loss of how to fault find this issue. Any ideas on how I can try to resolve this or attempt to locate issue before going to a garage.

Look for relay in the CEM there is a way to test but i forget how.
