  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Always a shame to see one of our cars trashed! I have to say it looks like the frame stood up rather well though, solid! Glad you're OK.

Xenons were an option through whole P1 year production, so any car from 2005-2012 can actually have them if it was upgraded in factory. Just look for Xenons / HID / Zenons () words in description, not sure what else to advice.

To spot the factory Xenon car from a distance, look for the following:
- will have headlamp washers
- will NOT have headlamp levelling dial in the cabin on the lights/foglights switch panel
- on both pre FL and FL models xenon headlamps have a faint but distinctive blueish beziel that makes it different from halogen ones even with lights off. Once you spot it, you will know exactly what to look for.

Only FL cars were equipped in ABL (active bending light) xenon types so on 2005-2008 you can only get "normal" ones regardless how hard you look.

good luck with search - unfortunately xenon cars are much harder to come by then H ones...

Default FL models ? & smoke on start up

what do you mean FL models ? thanks so much for all the help,

ps saw an ad for a v50 with xenons it says..The car does smoke slightly on cold start but clears within two minutes once warmed up.

what do you think about that issue ? cheers

FL = Face lift, post 2007/2008 cars.
