Default V70 T5 wanted

I'm looking for a 2005 (on) V70 t5 manual, with sensible mileage and not an ex-police (which wouldn't have sensible mileage anyway!!); needle in a haystack comes to mind!!!
I had one years ago and sold it for an XC90!! and have often regretted that decision, usually when I would see my old T5 in town.
May also consider an 'R'

Default hens teeth, rocking horse poo, and dragons eggs.

As title. Any of the above are more common than what you are looking for. I know. I spent 3 years looking for a T5 manual. I even Emailed every dealer in the country asking them to contact me. Nadda....Zilch....
Ok this was several years ago,2008 to be exact, but I still keep half an eye open. Like me perhaps you might end up with a V70R. Had mine now for 12yrs. Love it, but I've been lucky, or so I believe. Got mine from Volvo dealer and added 2yr (available at the time) Volvo warranty. Got new clutch, flywheel, bevel gear, two 4C suspension shocks, and some wiring harnesses all under the warranty and paid for and added the drive shaft collars myself while they were in there.

Good luck in your search.

Cheers
Bob

Hi Bob, I missed a very well spec'd with low miles T5 about 6 months ago, kicking myself as I hesitated (thinking I had too many cars!) called the following day; gone! Last month a very nice V70R manual appeared on the autotrader 105k with FSH £4k, I called straight away, the dealer had just taken a deposit an hour earlier (and seemed confused by the amount of interest the car had created: he was way too cheap) I think that's the way my search will go.
Well done on your warranty claims, I've never been that lucky!!
cheers, Iain

Default Consider a 2.5T

As title. The light pressure turbo could possibly be a 3rd alternative.. I drove a one many years ago and was impressed at the low speed grunt. Ultimately the T5 IS quicker, but initial pickup of the 2.5T is equal too to a T5.
You need to check for FULL leather option as the T5 is std leather, as does the AWD R
Additionally the 2.5T is also available as a 2007 on P3 with either 200BHP or for one yearish 227ish BHP, either can be polestarred to 250 BHP, very close to T5 power - something I did consider but decided to keep the R esp after all the work that it had under gone.

Cheers
Bob

Probably easier to just tune a 2.0T or 2.5T or just buy an R for an extortionate price.

Keep on searching Maxllair. I've had mine for 6 years.

1st owner was Volvo who spec'd it rather well. Sovereign hide (still un-marked)manual with space ball, sat nav, telephone, premium sound and sunroof. It's a 2005 face lift in Titanium with aluminium trimmed charcoal interior.

In the last 3 years it has had, 4 discs, pads, braided brake lines, handbrake shoes with manual adjusters and new cables. Suspension, it's had 4 Bilstein B4's, Polybushed front suspension and subframe mounts. Engine wise it's had timing belt, plugs, aux belt, complete pcv overhaul, turbo control valve, fuel pressure sensor and all the filters. It also has a Ferritta 3" downpipe and custom 2.5" system with a Shemtec map.

It has done 104k and I wouldn't sell it at any price.

It's not bad on fuel either.
