There is no harm in giving it a try, it’s the fix that the even your Volvo technician will normally try 1st for such issues - think of it like a “Control-Alt-Delete” on your PC/Phone. Just take care to avoid the obvious & allow at least 5 mins for the capacitors, etc to drain to allow a full reset before reconnecting.

Hi guys, same Problem in Germany, only after I sad about the TJ number from this forum, my dealer offered me to make Big Update( about 90min). Today at 10:00 UTC I will give my Xc60 Inscription B4 2020 away and later I will report about how will work my modem after update!

No updates fir my car, its all new and has to work properly sad my dealer. I use o2 Datacard, he sad I have to try Telekom or Vodafone. Something with very good coverage, no low cost. So, I just will find some deal from both better Operators and will see, if it works better...
Do you use some good operator or low cost? |

Hello to everyone!
I just joined the forum as I have internet connectivity issues with my XC60 late 2019 - maybe you guys can help me :-) I am using a vodafone sim card which was working several months fine. Suddenly, I'm getting the message "No connection to service" in the "Download Center". Reason seems to be that no internet connection is available. Dealer has no solution for me. I experienced the following this week: When I am close to a vodafone radio station everything is working fine. In the sensus I got the little globe at the top left corner - I assume this means Internet connection is available. This morning I travelled a few hours from city to city through countryside. Besides the vodafone car sim, I had a smartphone with different vodafone sim with me in the car. I compared the signal strength of car sim and smartphone sim..... It seemed that the signal strength for the car sim was much worse :-( I just talked to the dealer, but he had no explaination. He tries to get an answer from Volvo how to check the antenna. 2 questions: 1)Did anyone of you experienced bad signal strength for the car modem? 2)Do you any way to get any information if currently only edge, 3g or 4g is available for the car modem? In the sensus I can just see the rising bars for signal strength. Thanks in advance! |

Any idea when the modem cut over was from 3g to 4g?
I have a very late 2018 xc60 I think that makes it my19?

4G modems were introduced with MY2018, so from about April 2017 production.
