Lightbulb Halogen to LED headlight bulbs?

I have use Osram nightbreakers for some years to improve the dip beam on my S60, not that they last too long, Some of the well known names in bulbs like phillips/osram seem to have H7 55w led bulb replacements (most look like they occupy more space than old style filament bulbs tho), Pic attached of some Cree H7's Just wondering if these can be used in place of halogens or is it a non starter without changing the reflector etc?

I fitted LED bulbs in my XC70. For light output and brightness they are miles better. Although the beam pattern is scattered, this doesn't effect me but can be troublesome for other road users.

They are the style with the fans on the back. They are tight but they do fit. The metal collar can be removed from the main bulb body so they can be fitted correctly.

Hope this helps.
