Default Took my V70 to the weigh bridge

Just in case this helps anyone else,i wanted to know what percentage i tow at with my 2005 D5 V70 so took it to my local weigh bridge
Result 1780 KG.
I'm 87KG and it had 3/4 of a tank of diesel.It has the seven seat option and is a manual SE,fitted with a swan neck towbar.

what are you weights on the plate in the engine bay.
thats a very interesting figure i am sure mine is a lot more than that. or is that the year ford got hold of it

I assume you were not in the car while it was weighed but the 3/4 tank of diesel equates to about 41KG in weight should you need an empty weight - Mike

Mike,i was in the car when it was weighed,i'll check the plated weights,i can't remember them off hand.

Its the 163BHP 5 speed version with face lift bumpers/lights,think its all Volvo

max total weight 2160kg
max train weight car +trailer 3960kg
max front axle load 1080kg
max rear axle load 1130.kg
max trailer weight 1800 kg.
my car is the 163 bhp 5 speed

Mike,sorry if i'm reading your figures wrong,but when you had yours down at the weigh bridge the figure you are quoting is over the maximum permissable vehicle weight that you have quoted?
