I'm expecting my VIDA2013A and cable to be delivered by this Friday. Fingers crossed the installation goes ok and we'll see what happens after that!

Yes, that did become available recently - but that still relies on your laptop playing nicely with the VMware USB drivers, which I have had a heap of trouble with in the past.

If you are running it on a low RAM machine, its also not really a viable option. Could be a nice solution for some though.

Good point A Lex - I have a Mac so converted it to Parallels.

Have used the Subaru one in a similar fashion once before too and that was actually doing some ECU flashing so needed to be a lot more stable - should be fine for VIDA

plus 1.
I tried running it on a mac with VMware but it wouldn't read the Dice although it knew it was there.
Parallels worked fine first time using Windows XP.
Also run Windows 7 for some VW Audi software i have too.

Jaipal, I have an old Sony Viao laptop in my garage that has XP on it(I think). Yours for £20 if its any use to you for VIDA ? As your a bit of a computer buff should be no problem for you to set it up for use specifically for your car, could always sell it on afterwards.
