New XC90 at last! :)
It looks great, I wouldn't really mind to test it...meaning for 2 years at least.
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/volvo/x...d-full-details Although I would miss the split boot!

Looks spot on.
Theyll sell every single one they can produce, despite the price. I like it that you can still see a bit of the old model in the glass house and wheel arches. ME WANT!

Yep they'll sell by the bucketload. Those lights at the front give it a Chinoise appearance & looks like a cross between the Hyundai Santa Fe and the old Xc90 to me. Outwardly not a massive change to a fabulous and classic design. The biggest difference is in the standard of interior finish which is awesome. Fingers xed the residuals of the outgoing model are not affected too much.

Agree with A lex!
I am pretty sure that it will sell much better than X5 and Q7, I call them fake 7 seaters and better than GL model because of its crazy price of £60k plus.

Parked next to a BMW, Merc, or Range Rover, this car looks like it would hold its own. Good job.

I really like the inside but the outside looks vulgar.

I really like the look of it, inside and out. Nice big windows and decidedly unsporty which is spot on in my view. Shame about the lack of a split tailgate.
No manual gearbox this time, which I am aware will be missed only by me and about two other potential buyers. Still, less choice is a shame. Does anyone know how much this beastie will weigh? If I was to get myself into a position to buy one, I would probably be most interested in the 2wd D4 version (187hp). With all its fancy platform (SPA), ickle 4 cyl engine and lack of 4wd hardware, I would expect it to be lighter than the old one. The major problem, however, is that by the time I can afford one I fear the children will have grown up and flown the nest! Given the likely demand and prices of this new version I doubt there will be a significant negative impact on the prices of the current model in the short term. |
