Default Clutch for V/S40 turbo

Hi,

There is oil leak under my V40 2.0T and looks like coming from the rear crankshaft oil seal (the leak is between engine block and gear box assembly). So I'm thinking to replace the clutch as well while I am on this....already 180K with ori clutch. Does anyone DIY this type of work. I heard that with turbo series, the clutch need special tools to press the clutch plate during removal and installation. Is this true? Does the clutch kit comes with this tools?

Thanks.

Have you checked that it isn't the turbo return pipe? This is a very common area to leak and costs a LOT less to fix than the clutch.

For the 2.0t it doesn't need any special tools to fit it, its only the T4 clutch that needs them and they don't come with clutch

tq Rooster. Somehow Haynes manual does not distinguish between low and high P turbo when comes to clutch installation.

Rooster,
Can you confirm again that 2.0T does not need that tools for installation of new clutch? Haynes says that v/s40 turbo need the tools for installation.

I found this site that has tools catalog and some installation movies,

Thank Enigma666 for pointing that out. I should have check the Vadis first.

This is what Vadis about tools for clutch installation for year 1999.

for 2.0T engine the tool required only press tool 9995662
for T4 engine the tools required are press tool 9995662 and conterhold 9995677 as the clutch is SAC type (selt adjusted clutch).

Hmmmm, have to look for 9995662. nearby volvo dealer does not have this tools. All s/v40s sold here are automatic.
