Well replaced the globes after tapping the globes out!
Broke the spike in the middle getting the console out..grrrrrr, does not fit flush at the bottom of door side now.
Lights up switches again!

i have similar problems... no light on the fog lights switches and no light on the aircon temp dial.

it does seem to be a weak point.

no similar problems on my old car 850 T5, all lights functioning (older than my v40)

See what i mean about breaking other things just to replace these bulbs .Sorry about your mishap "Plant" not done mine yet ,anyone know the correct proceedure to remove this part of light switch panel or is it just remove the two screws ,and lever or pull out panel to give access to renew bulbs???

i've just tried mine and managed to get it out without breaking the spike. i noticed there is a clip at the top of the vent that makes the top sit flush. i pulled the bottom out so the spike was clear then pushed the top down and pulled forward to get the vent free from the metal clip.
