Default 1998 v40 se electrical

Hi can anyone help my v40 has a problem turn on ignition somtimes nothing at all no lights power at all ive had new battery ignition switch its been ok for weeks now today the same has this happened to anyone else if so can you tell me how to fix the problem thanks

Sounds as though you have the classic corroded wiring loom under the radiator.

Also check the clamps for the battery terminals.
On my old 306 I had a negative terminal popping off the battery every now and again and killed the entire car, really easy to fix with a pillar lock for the terminal.
Worth a try next time it happens to just pop the bonnet and hold the terminals on the battery and see if it starts again

Also check to make sure your earth straps are secure and not corroded
