Default 'Clunk' from passenger side when accelerating hard from rest

I've got a 2006 S60 D5 Geartronic, currently with 69k miles on the clock.

Recently, I've noticed a loud 'clunk' coming from the front passenger side if I accelerate hard from rest (e.g. to join a busy roundabout quickly). This is accompanied by another 'clunk', but higher-pitched, a few seconds later when I ease off. It sounds like it's coming from the front suspension area.

I've had a quick look and I can't see anything obviously awry, and the car passed an MOT last week with no advisories.

Any ideas anyone?

Drive shaft bolt loose? It lives behind the plastic hub cap centre. A starter for 10.

Search under "Axle Ping" as I have the same issue and have just ordered the two replacement bolts as per articles found.

Mine is 2004 S60 D5
