Default Advice - is this a good garage?

Hi all!

During a search on Autotrader to see what 850s are out there, I came accross this garage in York. (Drydals garage):

www.dealer.autotrader.co.uk/_dyrdalsframe7.htm

They appear to be an independant Volvo specialist, and have a good range of reasonably priced cars.

I love in Skipton, North Yorkshire, and so it's about an hour/hour and a half drive to York. So before I go over I wanted to see if anyone has had experience of this garage - are the friendly and polite? Do they give good service? Good aftersales? Reliable cars? Etc, etc.

Any information would be gratefully received!

The car I'm after is:

850/V70
Estate
Manual
2.5 20V or T5
Leather upholstery
Rear spoiler
Price around £3000

I'm not bothered about:
Air con
Alloys (though if T5 a nice set of original T5 alloys could attract a higher price)
Stereo (I'm likely to put my Minidisc player in)

Do you have this car?

Have you asked Roger Newhouse if he can get one?

Default RE: Advice - is this a good garage?

I saw Roger today, he has got an 850 on his forecourt for £3995, but it is too low a spec. Yes, Roger could get me one if I really so wanted, I just wondered if this other garage was any good - if they are and they have the car I'm after, I'd happily buy it from them - and then Roger (well, Keith to be precise) would get the servicing etc.

Having said that, I'm i no rush to buy anyway. Looks like the solicitor is starting to earn his money, and we should complete next week on our new house. So there may not be much money left for a car! Also I've been having a go at Fred - no, not shouting at him! The central locking on the front passenger side finally packed in yesterday after being tempermental since I've had Fred. But yestreday that was it, unable to lock the car. So I had to strip down the complete central locking unit. The boot seal had come loose at the top letting in water and so motor full of rust! But half an hour later, one working motor! All cleaned up and back together today, it works great. So inspired was I that I decided to sort out the non working electric drivers window. Again, motor out, strip down, clean, back in the car, and hey presto! One working electric window! Though window motors take a couple of hours, them windows are surprisingly heavy without the motor and gearing to hold them up!

Anyway, I digress, you never know Roger may have the car I'm after soon, or maybe someone on here? Either way, It's going to be Fred loaded up driving to south of France in a couple of weeks with stuff for my parents new house down there!
