Hi I’m going to make it happen the first Saturday next month.

If your Volvo is 10 years old you are still welcome to call we don’t mind the odd modern car turning up.

I will post more info and confirm date and time next week.

We will put a little breakfast on too.

Cheers

Great idea, I would make use of this kind of event if it were closer. Any other Volvo dealers in the south up for this?

It'd be great to hear about your experience and maybe you could enthuse other Volvo dealers around the country to hold similar events. I guess the success of such an event would largely depend on the expertise available.

Agree with the above. Anything to help owners keep the older classics on the road is a good thing. I suspect its appeal will be limited due to geographical location of forum members, however, best wishes for its success.

It is more body problems on say 30 - 40 year old volvos, the mechanicals never need attention … I wonder how much it costs to put 2 new sills on a 343 and refinish ?

Sorry pal. Bodywork is not my area.

I can tell you the bore and stroke of a B14.4e but nothing at all about bodywork.

Cheers

Brilliant! It would be worth putting a post in each of the model sections and one in the lounge so people know about it.

The single biggest factor, as far as I can tell, is the wretched engine management light. Would you be able to help with reading OBD codes?

It's infuriating that having spent so many hours protecting the car from rot it's now rendered "dangerous" because of this stupid light. It drives okay.
