Prices for cars and parts on the continent are a lot higher in many cases, but that door is bonkers, the grill still for sale for some strange reason...makes my £30 egg crate grill quite a bargain

Default Grille envy!

Before I sold my very knackered 940 Celebration, I transferred the nice bits ( including door cards, battery, water hoses, lpg kit and more) to my new 'low mileage' 940 '97. But I wasn't sure about the 'eggcrate'. Now, annoyingly, I want one! But not for silly money! Last time I spoke to Lakes (the breakers), about an eggcrate, they said something about rocking horses...
Maybe, come the summer, when an eggcrate hasn't fallen into my lap, I'll get the black Plastikote paint out, and do the innards of the chrome grille...
So I'll have the best of both worlds?

You could also use one of the "back to black" type treatments on the black part of the plastic grille too, then Solvol-Autosol on the chrome. Be gentle if it's plastic chrome though!

An alternative "80s retro" look would be a body coloured grille - just an idea!

Could this be Brexit revenge ??
Sorry, I can't find a single point why this could/should be brexit related.
Even in a nightmare I can't find anything.
This seller is well known for higher asking prices. And if you are strongly searching for a door with exactly this colour, it will be less expensive as a spray job. Shipping cost's are a different part.

Good luck with your egg-grill, Kay

At the moment Kay, Brexit is being blamed for everything - English humour!

Thank you Dave.

We, my friends so do I, won't like the UK out of the EU. Your politicians seem worse than our.
They aren't able to think about the people that are involved by this profilation-s h i t

If the Brexit is blamed for everything, this is the right direction ;-)
Cheers, Kay

I don't think that "moss-effect" is a recognised paint colour!

I had a green car once that was described by the DVLA as "grey" probably because the manufacturer called it "Moss Grey" - it was definitely green though! I think a more apt description would have been "Korean Racing green" as "That'll be the Daewoo!".

Very under-rated car but a bit of a mongrel - engine by Vauxhall (2.0 16v detuned to about 145bhp ish), handling by Lotus (it did handle well!) and body etc by Daewoo. The engine could have suffered the Hethel treatment to give it a few more horses but it went well enough and i got 49mpg on a run.

Have to confess, it was a sort of Moss Green but i suspect something was lost in the translation by calling it grey!
