Default c70 interior

heres a few pics to whet your appetite.

I'm interested to see the rear panel cappings you had made up fit in, and how you overcome the gap between the smaller seat base and the body.. i just carpeted, but i'm sure there is a more elegant solution. in the background you can make out the speaker box sitting in the parcel shelf. It lines the back of the seats up to the window nicely..

nice share redcar it helps with photos so people see what it should look like ,some where in my photo collection i was sure i took some images when we test fitted the interior i was like i must capture that but can i find them .... nope not atm but i will keep hunting until i find them or i get to the stage of fitting it all in .
i need to make a full grey carpet set up next week and as soon as i have that done and fitted ( plus wiring loom ) i can then crack on with headling and windcreen/ rear screen to be at the stage of fitting the interior it sounds a lot but wont take long few days and it will be that time when i can get on with it.

the gap you mention is indeed a head scratcher but with some clever scribbing it all comes together the only way to describe it is - it fits and looks like its the rear of a c-70 naturally but it is the same fitting needed as if you was bolting in one of them, everything just falls into place lot easier than the front seats they need (ed) a cuppa tea and a biscuit to get a plan of action then bingo we made some plates that extended the seat runners which bolt onto the oem front seat bases there is 8m clearance init so no room for mistake it goes only in one postion for everything to work the worst part is the handbrake but once fitted it actaully gives you more belive it or not - rear footwell space as feet tuck under fine so its like airoplane cabin sitting postions lol all will be shown as soon as possible tho and im looking forward to that job

regards
robert

yup, i had the same problems with the front seats. in the end i made squarish shaped mounts that went between the old mounts and the new seat bases too. i ended up removing all the plastic moulding and aluminium bracketing on the drivers seatbase to get adequate access to the handbrake. again, i then just covered the ugliness with carpeting.. looks ok, but i'm sure you'll do a nicer job, which i can then copy

Hi Robert, I know you are a very busy fellow with the Amazons but I was wondering what your thoughts/progress were with the red 120 2 door from near Dundee. Do you think you will get it running again or is it likely to be a donor car?
As an aside there used to be, and perhaps still is a couple of Dutch guys who used to buy up the used/tired Amazons in Holland and restore them and put them back on the road. They had a good website but I have lost the details of it. I always thought you followed in their footsteps.
Keep up the good work. You might even be invited to the Palace some day and we might end up calling you Sir. 'For services to the Amazon'!!

Hi Ya Dibble

yeah the red 2-door amazon is in my workshop atm but as its as bad as what the white one was like , i need todo a few others first before i get stuck into it i have found a buyer all being well , it will be watched and followed with intrest by many people is all i will say at this point but i try to find the cars and then marry them up with the right owner if it fits then i will part with them if i get a funny feeling i will sideline it to be sure there all in safe hands rest assured the red two door will be on the road 100% just need to get my 123GT under control then finish my estate plus this two tone project and get my P1800ES started and naturally pay some bills along the way by doing some work on others cars

kind regards
robert
