V50 General : - Buying advice / boot size

Looking at getting a V50 09 1.6D DRIVe SE 100K on the clock
FSH 12 month MOT asking price is £3500

What do need to look out for?
is it a good price?
Also I need to fit my dog cage in it's sloped at the back so will fit flush against the back of the rear seats at the bottom It's 3ft long & 2ft 2" high, will it fit??

This may help as for the sizes (in cm).
you are looking at low floor version as its FWD only,
