I assume you have replaced the Abs unit?...
Are you sure you have a faulty ECM, what are the codes?...
Cheers

Thank you very much for the help and links on fixing my ECU.

Though I have the turbo (V70R) I got the ecu off without taking off the turbo duct pipe.

Just like to mention that it is impossible to solder up the pins without removing the protective PCB coating. I simply de soldered all of the pins, this melted the coating and it all came away with an old tooth brush, then re soldered up and sprayed the board with a new coating of clear lacquer.

Though I had an E5 socket, I see that Screwfix sell a set for £13.

I must by a new MAF as the old one has been disconnected for 18 months.

Thank you again, If anyone has a MB and any faults just ask me, not being big headed but I have the most post in the world on these cars

This question has been asked but I cant see an answer: Is this also a fix for the V40?

I am asking as I have checked all my sensors with an ohms meter, all are ok as far as I know. I have checked all wiring and as far as I can tell again all appears ok so perhaps it's this ECU thingie? Mine is a V40T

I don't have any other method of testing other than my ordinary volt/ohms tester so cant tell you about any codes.

Is the picture attached in any way similar? Anyone ever had one apart to see if the internals are workable or if it does go US?
