Insurance and Value of New Car
XC60 scheduled for end of Sept delivery (woohoo! - was mid-oct at one point).
Anyway - need to investigate insurance costs. What value do you report for the worth of the car? The list price? The cost price? Some arbitrary trade in value as obviously the worth is less once you have driven it off the forecourt. Some insurers don't insure cars valued at over 30k (directline and many of its subs like Privilege). |

If it was written of on the way home from the dealership it could potentially cost the list price to replace it. This is the cost I would ( and always do ) insure a new car for.

My XC60 is with Direct Line and I think the limit is £40K.
At least I had no problems with the value when asked.
