Wanted. Starter motor & Ignition switch/key
I'm hoping I can source a good used starter motor and ignition switch with key suitable for a 1989 240 GLT auto estate to hopefully cure the possible starting issue.
Money is tight at the moment. James |

Try finding a 740 or 940 model. They are easier (lightweighted) to fit and run slightly faster than the old lumpy ones.

Hi, thanks everyone
So far I'm not having any major starting issues apart from when I left the car unused for 12 days. It was very reluctant to chuck into life, so switched off and tryed again, it cranked for about 45 seconds then chugged into life thankfully Drove it 200 miles since with no problems starting. Going to see how it goes before spending out, wondering if the battery isn't holding a good charge? This may explain not enough power for the starter hence the clicking solenoid noise? James |
