Unhappy D5 Engin Repair

Hi guys,
I am new here. After spending £3k on a new Gearbox on My S80 (2003 model) , the D5 engin just broke down. The oil seal is leaking & need either a new engin or reconditioning of the old one.
Any advice please?
Regards
Joe

If your close enough to Croydon ask First Diesel for a price. Not sure why you need a new engine if it's only a leaking oil seal though.

It costs about £1000 to recon a 6 cylinder D24Tic

I'd agree it does seem a bit OTT to replace/Recon an engine because it has a leaking oil seal unless there are other underlying problems with it.
