Default S90 Questions

Hi,

I finally got my new S90. I have tried to learn all of its features but there are some issues that I wanted to ask here before turning to the dealer:
-I connect my phone to the white frame USB port and the phone is charging. but the USB icon is still inactive and I cannot do anything with the phone. Should I do anything before using the USB for the connection?

-based on your experience, are you happy with its navigation? I had a test yesterday and it did not warn me about one or two speed cameras. It was ok for the rest of the journey but I think TomTom offering a better service.

-Another issue about the navigation is entering the postcode. it sometimes does not find the address when I enter the full postecode in the search box. in one occasion it found it when I searched again the next day. I had to use the volvo on call app to send the full postcode to the car.

-I used Pilot Assist and liked it. it has also Automatic speed limiter. Is it possible to combine these two? I mean when the car was on Pilot Assist, it could adjust the speed based on the road speed limit.

Thanks in advance.

I don't use the navigation system, I find Google maps on my phone connected using Android Auto is much better.

thanks and then I come back to my first question as I am not able to connect my phone using USB and then use Android Auto. In that case, I would go with Waze.

No it’s not possible to use the speed limiter and pilot assist in combination. Post codes only work in the sat nav if the correct spacing is used.

The navigation is OK, if a little basic. Volvo's navigation system has been 'dumbed down' over the years.

I like having a large map in the centre display, and map updates are free of charge and produced regularly for you to install. Safety camera updates are included as part of the map updates.

funny point is that when I say the same postcode using the voice control, the system finds it!
