Question 2002 Volvo S60 2lt Turbo questions..

Hello guys I've got a few questions regarding my
2002 Volvo S60 2lt petrol turbo (180bhpp)

-General

I've read around and I know the T5 and R is the preferred platform for power gains but I've also read that the 2lt can also be tuned and upgraded for power, what is the most you can get from a 2lt without having parts forged?

Would fitting T5 or R parts such as injectors, fuel pump, ect improve anything or even run for that matter without being mapped in?

I've read that the engines are coded to completly everything so if you was to fit a T5 engine complete with turbo ect you'd have to have everything swapped over such as clocks, a/c unit and so on be cheaper to buy a T5 to star with?

-Suspension

Would the D5 suspension fit the 2lt? As it would last longer surly as the D5 engine is heavier than the petrol engines meaning less strain on the suspension components witch would make them last longer surly? And if I'm correct ive read the police do this?

-boost gauge - problem.

I've read around that the 2lt turbo should be pushing about 5-7psi max is that right? My boost gauge is reading 10-12psi when pushed to the max? The gauge isn't faulty as I had my friend test it in his car (scooby) and it read the same as his gauge, so I've ruled out a faulty gauge, my gauge is tapped into the vac line between the turbo return? & Air chamber, the place everyone says to tap into, but the previous owner did say that the car was mapped (no proof so I didn't believe it and still dont as he also said it's a ex police car &#129318
Any idea why the turbo is pushing so much? Only mods I have is a CAI piped to the bottom of my engine bay to get best cold air possible and a straight pipe from the cat back.

-Turbo question.
Has anyone replaced a 2lt turbo with a hybrid? Or upgraded to a T5 or R turbo? Obviously intercooler would need upgrading, but would the engine cope?
Also can the CBV be replaced with a BOV (only if turbos upgraded)

TIA.

Maybe I'm being stupid but surely wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy an S60 T5? You can find them for under 2 grand. The amount you'd surely spend just getting a 2 litre to simply match a T5, let alone surpass it would soon be cancelled out with a simple ECU remap on the T5.

T5 would be the cheapest option and probably the option I'd follow but I'm just woundering what's the most you can really get from a 2T without blowing a rod turbo ect lol
