Default XC70 Door Locking

Hi

First Volvo purchased a couple of weeks back - XC70 D5 AWD. Very impressed with it but here is my first post on here.

Simple question. If you choose to have the all the doors on your XC70 lock automatically when you drive off, is there a function somewhere that allows you to set things such that when you stop and open the Driver's door, then all other doors unlock at the same time? Was very used to this functionality on my previous car (eg for getting jacket from the back seat) but I can't find a way to do this without using the internal unlock button or the key. Any ideas?

Mine had the facility in the 'My Car 'settings so that you could alter whether it just opened the drivers door or all.If you go into the settings you should be able to find this function and lots of others as well.

Unfortunately, there is no option to unlock the doors again so you have to pull the handle twice to unlock the drivers door or press the unlock button. Quite annoying for the passengers.

The setting referred to in previous post (I think) applies to the remote central locking when opened with the fob.

Thanks guys - annoying indeed. Seems crazy that this simple functionality is not available with all the other clever stuff it does.

We have a similar problem with the wife's Kia, allegedly there is an option deep in the programming to turn it off but neither local Kia dealer knows where to find it. 18 months in to our ownership we're sort of getting used to it but it means we've developed a sort of ritual when we stop the car as if one person does the double pull on the handle it confuses the system and then the unlock button doesn't work on the rest. If we lived in a rough inner city perhaps we'd be glad of the added security but most of Milton Keynes hasn't achieved ghetto status yet
