RTI Update
Right, I installed the disc for the UK, it took about 10 minutes, had a glitch when it did not recognise the disc after installation! Took it out then tried it again and it worked. Not driven away from the house yet but graphics look the same as previous, version is year 2010.
Going to try 2D vs 3D when i'm next out, I can't see anything 3D about the graphics and in comparision to a friends Audi Q5 the Volvo screen looks less coloured and detailed (the Audi shows stuff like altitute etc). |

It is incredibly tight of volvo considering I am paying the equivalent of nearly 50 thousand quid for my car. |

I stil didn't receive an update on my MY 11 (first version without the pod system).
It was promised by Navteq last year though. Anyone received an update already? (not on the pod system, since this is a different system/version) Thanks |

If you check the website you will find that all models have the same map versions
http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...gationMenu=YES Worth checking the discs with you system to see which versions that you have - if they tie up with what is here then you have the latest version, if not call Navteq (this is what Volvo will tell you to do )

http://www.navteq.com/mapcare/registration?action=displayHome&program=volvo-am then you should get your update as soon as it will be available. I got info from Navteq that they having some trouble with new update CD and sooner or later we all get the update (later is more adequate). There is some error on CD which may cause that after upgrade your navigation will stop working, so I think it is better to wait for new CD with correction. So far I am waiting about one year for my upgrade and hope to get 2 upgrades as promised on MapCare program. |
