I might be ahead of the game, but I get the feeling that a fix might be in the offing. Was just double checking my MOT Renewal date, and checked the gov.uk website and it is now showing a recall in force.

The date on the recall is apparently 16th August 2019.

So it might be that letters will be winging their way to us in due course.

Is the issue only effecting the 2.0 or is the 2.4 also effected?

Thanks in advance

My low revs hiccup is back - done it twice today. It also flagged up all 4 wheel tyre pressures needed recalibrating. Calibrated ok but it's never moaned about the tyres before, only when I had new ones fitted. I'm really starting to lose the love for Volvo

You should Check and adjust the tyre pressures before calibrating ..

I know, but the way it came up for all 4 tyres together made me think it had lost the settings.if it was one or even two then I would have suspected a tyre issue, but not all 4. I did have 5 people in the car though. Maybe the extra weight affected it. I blamed the wife anyway for pinching my chips lunch time.

I've owned mine for just over a year and had that same alarm on two occasions (all four wheels grey)... both times were in summer so I put it down to being the sun shining on one side affecting the pressures. I don't think it's a great system and assume that the TPMS alternative is far superior?

The TPMS sends back actual pressure readings back to the car from the wheels .
The late system compares revolutions of all 4 tyres and from the differences determines which are doing less revs that the others and therefore lower pressure , with about 50 pulses per rev to monitor on each wheel it's got a lot of data to process .

I am currently getting a lot of what I would call lumpy running with my d4 at a constant 30 mph. Just not running smoothly, almost akin to kangarooing along the road just constant stutters.

Can't do anything to avoid it as it happens in both 3rd and 4th gears so don't really fancy driving through built up areas in 2nd gear all the time.

I have tried doing some good old Italian tuning when the car is all toasty warm, taking it right through the rev range and driving along at 3000+rpm for a couple of miles but no real change after it

I'm assuming that you would have mentioned any warning lights, however if you have access to an OBD2 scanner it could be worth checking for stored diagnostic trouble codes (which may be pending/unconfirmed so would not bring on the engine warning light).

4 or 5 cylinder engine?
