new member has a few niggles...

hello all! just bought my first v40 t4 the other day, 1999 v reg, and loving it.

just a couple of questions. my dsa isn't working at all. it stopped working with the previous owner and he never got it looked at. the light is permenantly on on the dash. wheel spinning all over the place in the wet.
contacted local garage about this and they cant look at it for another 2 weeks. does anybody have any idea what is could be and what its likely to cost me?

secondly, there are 2 fans behind the radiator, and only one comes on (bought a haynes manual on ebay and just waiting for it to be delivered).

side marker lights on 1 side not working, but from what i've read i think i won't bother and just turn the working ones off.

also the elctric windows don't go down automatically when you hold the button (i presume they do with 'auto' written on them)

lastly, i wouldn't mind a dump valve for it, just for the noise really. can anyone recommend a half decent one? i saw some on ebay with 'fitting kits' for around £150. i thought they were a lot cheaper than this and just bolted on in a few minutes.

maybe a bleed valve or something similar after christmas. recommendations?

anyway, besides all that, i'm loving the car !
