Right, I see what you mean. The striping at one time was an amber/gold.
Here are a few from that period and a little earlier. We had the 12v Senators as well prior to getting the 24V. How I wish that I owned the last one. A genuine Cooper S.

It was a 12v senator I had, still plenty quick enough. I do like a big Vauxhall saloon or estate, owned a few Carlton saloons and estates in cd/cdx spec, a brace of manual 2.5 v6 omega, a v6 calibra, cavalier mk1,2 and 3 and a glorious old 1966 36k mile viscount 3.3 straight six with electric windows and a two speed powerglide autobox. That was a gem. Owned a few Astra and Nova too but they are tiddlers!!

Just in passing interest, quite a long time ago, I bought this...
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ford-T5-Hamp...m+t-ford+to+t5 But it looks like there are copies still out there. An interesting view an various cars as used by the plods in Hampshire... written etc. by a traffic cop. I bought it coz I actually met him (no... I was not nicked!)

Great stuff. Thanks for posting the pics. I have a few, as you might imagine, but have great difficulty uploading. Someday I will crack it.

I have two of my favourites. A 1982 Granada 2.8 Ghia auto I've had for 15 years and a totally original 1987 BMW 525e 2.7 straight six.
The Granada is very luxurious and comfortable but the BMW is more of a drivers car but at the expense of luxury. I'm a big fan of 70's and 80's cars and would have more if I could |

Yes it's the eta. 129hp I think but lots of torque. Its pulls well and it's not slow. Redline approx. 4750 rpm I think. Sounds nice too and 30 mpg plus!

Lotus Carlton type 104, Mindblowingly fast, I bought one from a police auction in the late 90's, It was well clapped out and i always wondered what a well sorted one could do.
