Bluetooth Streaming upgrade?
Hopefully a quick question...
We have a 2011 XC90 with Bluetooth phone connection which doesn't have music streaming capability. I believe this was available on MY 2013 +. From my limited searching, both model years use the same Bluetooth module... 31285548 So does this mean that the streaming side of the Bluetooth is controlled via the ICM? If so, could the ICM have a software/firmware update to include this functionality or is a hardware thing? If not a hardware thing is it turn-on-able in the Vida? That was more than one question...sorry. Cheers Martin Last edited by mcox42; Aug 15th, 2019 at 13:31. |

It's certainly not a function you can just switch on with Vida.
Best case scenario would only be needing a software download from the dealer given that you already have the module but that's only a guess as the module is listed as Bluetooth Handsfree as opposed to Bluetooth Streaming. I'd recommend asking a dealer directly as they are almost certainly the only ones who will have the resources to achieve what you want.

Likely hardware related to the radio. Due to part numbers and software and bus addresses and Vida it is not easy, and sometimes impossible to put later year parts in earlier cars
