Default Service question (again)

Hi Guys.
I'm going to take my year 99 V40 into the Dealers to have the timingbelt tensioner changed and wondering if I should get the 170 000km service carried out at the same time? It's had a full Volvo service uptil now. Volvo have quoted me around about £260 for just the service, which as far as I know will be the sparkplugs, oil etc and everything else is the quick once over.
Just wonder what you guys would do? Is it too much dosh for this type of simple service?
I do a lot of mileage and I'm a useless mechanic.
Comments welcome.

Will be worth seeing if there is a good independant in your area as they will be a lot cheaper than the dealer!

Might be worthwhile doing s search on the forum for your area!

I've just got a quote from a Volvo Main Dealer (Sheffield UK) for the Full Major Service / Belts and Tensioner - Poo'ed my pants when he said £490 all in.... ('99' C70 @92k)

Rang an independent for the same work £180 all in - so I'm thinking of going with the independent for the work ....
