Wink Convoy to Southern BKV 2010

We'd sort of stumbled on this topic and off it again last weekend, so sitting bored here at 6am I decide to look briefly into it.
I've roughly worked out prices for ferry and hotel, obviously if there is enough interest I will make some phone calls and get some firm prices. I've based these on a car with 2 sharing.
Its the 16th of May and its in Dorset. The ferry, Belfast - Stranraer return is £200 approx, going out on Saturday (15th) morning and returning Sunday (17th) night. Its almost an 1000 mile return trip, which is alot to cover in one day, so maybe the possibilty of staying over night in or around Birmingham or maybe further North on the Saturday night?
There is Dublin to Holyhead service, but the dates don't go that far into the future although for me this would be a prefered route. Though distance wise it is similar, but were taking 100 miles off the journey through the mainland, which leaves around 400 miles instead of 500.
Hotel prices for 2 nights based to 2 sharing is around £250 for B&B, again, this is just the first hotel I found on Google and they are only a guide price.

Thought and comments folks???

If there was a Northern BKV it would be better for us, but we'll try this and see how we go.

The 'Northern BKV' is held in Yorkshire, normally at Wetherby Racecourse, during July or August. I do not have dates for the 2010 event, but they should be in the 'Driver' soon.
This is a very good event, and attracts members from all over, including some of us from Scotland.
Cheers,
Kevin.

It will be published in your copy of Driver, more than likely be a thread on it also.

You do know that there are three BKV events over the year? A national one, then a southern and northern event to allow those who can not travel the distance to the national, the ability to get to a more 'local' one.

I have also renamed the thread slightly to make it a little clearer on what the thread is about.
