Default Old Volvo's in Holland

Just back from my annual day trip to Holland (WORKING I hasten to add).
Couldn't help noticing the seemingly large numbers of older Volvos on the roads and obviously in daily use there.

Even saw a PV 544? Pick-up, with a three or four plank high wooden pick-up back on it. Was this a Volvo product, or is this a 'home conversion'. Car was running well, or so it sounded. Bodywork was dull and work stained, but seemingly rust free, at least as far as could be seen from another car, but certainly not 'dropping apart' rusty.

Very long day tho, 03.30am start! Trying to catch the 17.20 flight back from Schipol, got to the airport at 17.05, and they let me on!!!! Three Cheers for KLM
