Fault Code P1238
Hi All,
i have a Volvo C70 2.0T 2002 with the fault code P1238. I’ve checked all the turbo pipes after the turbo by spraying with soapy water to see if there was any bubbles etc and now looking at what’s next to check. Was starting the look at the Turbo control valve but not sure of where to start. Any ideas? Andi |

Can you also describe any running symptoms?
Whilst most of us routinely replace our TCV's every few years through good practice, to be honest they do last quite well in my experience and are not too pricey from our Volvo dealers in our traders section of the website. I would want to try a replacement TCV. Also trace the 3 hoses connected to it and trace them checking for signs of wear or having come off. That code could potentially be thrown by a faulty/failed MAF sensor also. Could try disconnecting it or a known working spare.
