Default Correct Tyre Size

Hi everyone,

Is anyone able to confirm to correct tyre size for my 2006 C70 2.4D SE Lux?

The car has Morgan’s wheels.

It’s fitted with 235 45 18’s but I think it should have 235 40 18.

Any manufacturer recommendation welcome too. P Zero at the moment.

Thank you

It's written in the Owner's Manual, which you should find in the glovebox
Otherwise, look at the online PDF at

Er, that might be Mirzam wheels? They're the only 18" style originally available for your age of C70. 235/40/18 would be the correct tyre size. PZero were the original fitment I believe, but I've got some Kumho Ecsta on the front of mine. Ride and handling are OK but I can't work out if it's those or the Pirellis on the back which are humming on smooth surfaces, it seems to come from all around.

Yes Proghound, you’re right. It’s seems good old predictive text see Mirzam as Morgan for some reason.

I was thinking of putting Kumho Ecsta KU39’s on because I will only use the car in the summer for a few thousand miles and this tyre seemed like a good mid range option but you’re making me think twice now.

At the moment the car has 3 P Zeros and an Avon. Came with it when I bought it a few weeks ago. Dunno what to do now 😕

The tyre hum isn't that loud or annoying, it's just there. You hear it a lot less with the roof down or the radio up anyway

Yeah I noticed it as soon as I changed from my 17" 'pothole season' rims (all four shod with nice quiet Avon ZV7's) to the 18" as pictured, which have the Kumho's and PZero's on. It must have been humming before I put those away in November, but built up gradually so I didn't notice it so much. Maybe I'll swap the wheels front to back at some point and see if it sounds any different.
