clutch cylinder repair kit
Anybody have any ideas where to get a clutch master cylinder repair kit that actually has all bits you need?
Replaced drive clutch a few weeks ago and cylinder packed up, so robbed 1 of a 940 i have for spares that worked ok but obviously disturbing it has got it in a ****y. Every seal kit I have found so far has everything but the the 1 way valve rubber which is problem on both cylinders. Any ideas? |

Seal kits tend to be hit and miss and usually only last a short while.
It is usually best to fit a all new cylinder |

What Dai said ^^^^^ not worth messing about with seal kits, i know it's a lot cheaper than a new slave but if the new slave fails, at least you have some comeback under the guarantee, unlike a seal kit.

Thing that really bugs me is main seals are perfect, its the 1 way valve on piston thats the issue, the excact bit that doesnt come in a seal kit, DOH!
Someone must do them because new cylinders wont have a 2nd hand 1 in. Learning to live with it at mo, it usually only plays up on trying to pull out or on a roundabout or some such interesting place. |

May try it yet, it was fine till gearbox came out for clutch to be swapped, it wasnt disconnected but sat for a few days waiting for correct clutch to show up, then packed up all together.
Took 1of my 940 spares dept, which was fine for a week then started playing up. Trying not put off disturbing it to much in case it ends up like the last 1! Dont need it broken just yet as its my only functioning vehicle at mo. |
