Hi guys im back, 😀 so i have had a couple of weeks off here trying to road test the xc. I have now replaced the injectors and i can see no visibale exterior leaks now. It seems like this make have sorted the oil usage problem.. so i seem to be making progress...

I still have soot filter full message and error cose P2455 which is the dpf pressure sensor (this code triggers engine system service required message) does anyone know what this means? Do i just need to change the sensor? Is it the black thing with 2 pipes on it.

I feel i am getting close to a new dpf now but i just want to clear these faults first.. what do you guys think?

Breakng news**** (literally) one of the dpf pressure sensor rubber hoses have just split, causing a hissing noise.

is this tbe cause of the P242f error or the p2455 ? Could this split be telling me something?

How on earth do you think the DPF pressure sensors can properly work and detect the DPF pressure when one of the pressure sensor hoses is broken?

Replace the hose.

Then reasses everything.

Hi guys, i have had a new dpf fitted. Its been about two months and its driving like a dream! But its still using oil. I think about 1 ltr per week or 100 miles approx. I am using a5 b5 castrol at £40 for 4L so its quite a lot of money. Any ideas anyone?

You can only burn or leak oil

Check for leaks, remove the bottom engine undertray

The engine should be clean and dry. Mine is, at 10 years old and 130,000km.

If not, clean it, then drive for a day or week and reasses

If you are burning oil, that is why the DPF filled up: as it has more than the expected smoke and soot going into it.

Look for oil leaks at the turbo
Do a compression test
At such a high oil consumption rate you must have something very wrong somewhere
