Question C30 d4 egr advice...

Can someone please advise a good procedure for the removal and cleaning of my egr valve and associated pipes on my c30 d4 20v engine (euro5)?

I understand there are varying egrs used. My car is running fine but i would like to inspect and clean as part of the annual service..

Thanks!

Lots and lots of swearing,

Or clean it in situe by taking pipes off either engine and throttle unit

Is there not a how2 thread i could follow?? :s
Ideally want the whole lot off to do a proper job. What about the inlet manifold? (That could be a second job in itself!)

Doesn’t look like it, clean what you can in situ And forget about it. They don’t often cause issue. A lot of the bolts are hidden and it’s just a pain in the arse job.

Youtube - Tolly Swift, his car is a C30 D5 and takes you through the basics of removing it from the car.

I filmed myself doing it but have a lot fo footage to edit, all in all - it was a horrid job!
