Default Transmission expert advice please

I have a 2001 C70 with 54k miles on it that I would like to give to my daughter for college, it has the dreaded slamming auto trans. in it. I have changed the mounts flushed the trans 3 times and still slamming. I did the servo upgrade and still slamming. My quest has brought me to this web site evelten.com/VOLVO_VALVE_BODY_FIX_p/vol-ja210-3000sn.htm Will this fix my transmission? The $700 price tag is a bit steep but I bought the car for $2000 so I have room to put a bit more into it before getting upside down in my investment. I would like to see my daughter driving this super safe car. Please give me the advice I need to make the decision, it will be greatly appreciated.

Had a look on their website and..... for $1298 you get them repair and fit it plus a transmission service......not sure if they guarantee it ? Loan car while they have it.........Not sure how far away you are from them, but for the extra dollars and if there was a guarantee included...that's the option I'd go for.....Good Luck.....

OMG just had a google.....Long way ......

On the newer cars a transmission reset can be done in software. This can sometimes cure problems like your gearbox has.
Your car is older then mine so I'm not sure which box is fitted but a software reset if possible would be a reasonably cheap job before looking at a recon box.
Double check you used the correct spec oil.

I am So upset I can't describe ! I did exhausting research on what type of fluid to put in this car, and found what I thought was the factory fluid, IDEMITSU type TLS. I sent a personal message to DanielM yesterday and he responded that I needed to use TYPE F or G in my car !!! I don't understand why there is so much mis-information on what the correct type of fluid to use in this car. Therefore before I do anything else I will be putting the correct fluid in and see what that dose, I know the right fluid can make a huge difference in the operation of a transmission. Thanks for you input, I really appreciate it.

So The war goes on! I went down and purchased the correct fluid according to DanielM and did a flush, it got worse if anything. I decided the next course of action should be swapping out the solenoids so I purchased a set from Rostra. I got to the point where I needed to pull the valve body cover and stripped out a torques head bolt. Now I am looking at pulling the transmission or the front end of the car just so that I can drill out/ easy out the bolt. I may lose a battle or two but I will win this war
