Default Aftermarket Managment?

Anyone running aftermarket such as megasquirt/emu etc?
Any ideas on what the best set up is and a rough cost?
I know you at least need to change the throttle position sensor for one from an 850. Any advice at all would help, cheers

I am toying with getting a speeduino ECU kit, for a project I am doing, one good thing about that is you can write your own code mods for it, so I can build in things like immobiliser and the like.

Braden Carlson on youtube as replaced his LH with a megasquirt on his turbo'd 740 and seems to have had good results.

Megasquirt is one of the easier installs, and depending on which version you use there's loads of features. I'd actually say it depends on who's mapping it, as that'll make a big difference.

There's also Emerald, apparently well thought of by those not choosing Meqasqut and similar :

http://www.emeraldm3d.com/k6-ecu-info-and-specification

Also has the bonus of three switchable maps so you could have for example Snow, Normal and Sport modes or alternative fuels or whatever you wanted really.

Emerald have been doing ECUs since the mid 1990's I have a K6 but not used it yet , Also have a M3D and used that .. It would be ideal for a 940 .

Probably get shot for this but I want more mpg, just for the hell of it.

I think the LH is massively over fueling, it needs a more responsive load change detect like MAP so that the fueling can be lowered or to use close loop more, wideband feedback maybe.

Nothing wrong with wanting more mpg, it's always good, especially for the wallet department!

I would look at the lambda output in that case , is it working properly? If so , it can't be overfueling ..
