Guys don't forget you've got only 2 l, 4 cylinder and already 225hp under bonnet. Can't get any more juice of it. I think releasing polestar for D5 xc90 was embarrassing as engine seems to be "polestared" as standard.
I was thinking of getting new xc90 but engines put me down. Still happy of my 3.2 petrol with "only" 238hp even if interior is a bit archaic.

Heico are offering plus 25 bhp and plus 70 Nm to give 1 second reduction in the 0-100 kph time.

It's installed by at Volvo main dealers so I guess Volvo are OK with it. Costs over £2k though.

That is a very expensive tuning box.

I had a brabus one that was similar on a merc a few years back. You can buy similar for £350.

I agree with spokoluzik. 225bhp is pushing a 2 litre diesel far enough already.

I would wait to see how reliable the new D5 is before I put a tuning box on one.

I think polestar is a bit of a rip off on most models.

I have it on mine....I like the blue badge. Not sure I notice the 10bhp in a 2 ton car.

The big point though Kev is that it won't affect the Volvo warranty. It's the only alternative to Polestar that won't. The other point is that it gives a lot more power than the Polestar map. It is still a lot less than the new D5 engine is engineered to cope with though.

Agree the Polestar map is overpriced, but we encourage them by buying it at that price, so we have no one else to blame but ourselves really.
