Default Reverse beeper

Hi

I've a loose or faulty reverse sensor. It seems a hassle or nightmare to resolve. Everytime I reverse now I've a continuous beep that's driving me mad!!

Is there any way of either an easy fix or a way to turn the beeper off ?

Thanks in advance

What model, year etc. car do you have?

This section is for x70 up to 1999, the vast majority of which were not fitted with reversing sensors, so I suspect you may be posting in the wrong section for your car.

On my c70 there is a on/off switch on the righthand rear light cluster panel, there should be a switch on yours somewhere too.

If it's a sensor fault, it shouldn't be too big of a job to replace that one sensor.

If the rear sensors are original Volvo, the off switch is in the boot by the rear light cluster.

Open the little access door as if going to change a bulb and the red coloured switch is on the metal body brace in front of the light unit.

Edit: Forgot to say passenger side light cluster.

Exactly as ITSv40 said, except that on mine it's on the drivers side on a RHD car.
