Default Laguna 2 V6 Auto ***UPDATE****

Ok fellas More news/update on my sons Laguna.....

my VERY GOOD Friend Andy (Thanatos) called round this evening to run the codes on the Lag ..... Only 1 code popped up (lambda Sensor fault) which we already knew about.

it would appear that false info was obtained by myself in that (as I had posted before) a Solenoid was fauly in the gearbox .... NO SO!!! No gearbox codes were present & Most importantly NO gearbox Fault Lights were showing on the dash ( that'll teach me to make assumptions!!!)

One of the main problems with AW 55-50 sn boxes (or SU1-002 boxes) as Renault call them IS faulty solenoids but this manifests itself as NO REVERSE GEAR!!! + Gearbox Fault lights showing Again this is NOT SO with Pauls car.

So we clears the Lambda code, sets the service light & take her fer a spin .....Again she's "Clunky" when "feathered" on the "Go Pedel"

Further investigation revealed a Completely SH4GGED gearbox mount. this is causing the Engine/gearbox to "Torque Twist" when Accellerating putting the offside drive shaft seal under pressure & causing it to leak, it also accounts for the "clunky" changes with going thru the gears....

As its "tiptronic" to prove this theroy we dropped her into 3 & accelerated away 3 was enough to get her rolling at minimum torque keeping the gearbox "Fairly" stable......

Her accellerated away as smooth as a Silk Codpiece!!!!!! on our return I got down under the car & andy hit the GO pedel (in Neutral of course) the damned Gearbox moved (Under Torque) about 3 inches (more Proof if it were needed that a SH4GGED mount was the culprit)

Going to source a Gearbox mount tomoz & get my "Pet Mech" (gary) to fit it & we'll take it from there....

Watch this Space fer more REALLY USEFUL info .... LOL!!!!!!

Keith

did a full flush & Refill on sat Andy Honestly Andy the "Torque Twist" on this engine is truely huge mate, must be a good 3 or 4 inches !!!!

If you stand at the nearside wing & get someone to hit the "GO" pedel the whole engine drops at the windscreen end by a HUGE amount!!! (obvoiusly from that angle the "torque Spin" is Clockwise so Back down/Front up ect )

I recon a rear Engine/gearbox Top Mount will sort out 99% of the problems here mate ..

few hours with the spanners/laptop and its looking like he's ending up with a Tidy motor.
