Also I thought it might be immobilizer as Vida showed that there is not a default code stored but at the same time it's cranking its trying to start yet other members with immo problems were saying car wouldnt allow to crank the car.

Crank sensor reading in vida ?.
On main Vida screen you have no faults listed or stored ?. You got a different key to try ,.

As far as I'm aware the car will crank just not start.

There is no faults on main Vida screen, absolutely nothing. But when I went to immobilizer page it said something like not default pin code and cem not ok. Unfortunately I haven't got a second key.

Looking like a tow to main dealer for a software reload at least, you haven't had a flat battery or a battery change as sometimes they forget loose the software.

Today we took out ecu to check connections etc and it looks like it has been opened before I can see some dodgy soldering done along with crap sealant around. I have a strange feeling ecu will be knackered

Also seem to recall another chap who had a running issue with his D3 engined car being related to ECU water-ingress. I guess now, you'll have to find an ECU from a breakers yard and get it flashed with the software from your existing one. PAIN!

I think I will go to dealer first to do a software reflash first if that won't help another ecu

Surprise surprise ecu wasn't corroded inside but it was definitely opened before and someone didn't put enough sealant so could be that it was wet at some point. Also soldering wasn't perfect so whoever was mapping or changing mileage or something was a cowboy rather then a specialist.
