V60 driving impression...
Have had my T6 for just over 6 months and thought I'd share driving impressions.
Having established very early that running the car in a "charging" mode was not worth the extra fuel it cost to gain battery mileage, I have now made another discovery. When in hybrid or power mode when the accelerator is released the car wants to free wheel, but there is a minimal level of recharging taking place. This occurs even when the "hold" option is selected. This causes the need for the accelerator to be pressed sooner than would be required if the car was truly allowed to free wheel. This can however be legally achieved buy selecting "pure" and lifting one foot. On normal A roads, by reading conditions ahead I'm able to travel several football pitch lengths every mile...that's a 10% saving. These cars are so heavy once momentum has been established they roll and roll. The down side is you have to keep changing driving modes between hybrid and pure, but I have found that this activity at least makes me feel like I'm driving the car. Additionally, if when in pure mode you need to slow/stop putting the gears selection into "B" reduces the need to physically brake and give a slight recharge to the battery. Try it see what you think... Cheers Bob

Yep, save you get more glide for your pulse..Any road section thats flat or slightly down hill you glide and glide.
Glide upto roundabouts, road junctions, basically anywhere where you have the opportunity.. there's a 4 mile section on A19 just south of Durham dual carriageway, going south, start at 70 mph in ICE, and switch to pure, you loose a max of 10 mph...done it several times now.. Cheers Bob..
