Mid wales mountain pass tour october 2015
Hi All,,
Im considering do a tour over a Saturday and Sunday in late October of a total of 6 of the lesser known mountain passes in Mid Wales, (i do live in the area) with an evening hotel in MidWales, some of the passes are very steep , one has a section on 1/3.5 and several hairpins, they are not main roads at all and have to be driven with attention and skill not speed. Its open to only 5 vehicles, be you in a PV, Amazon or V40,, The price Im working on is about £100 per car of 2 people, I can adjust +/- for occupants this will include a decent 3 star Hotel with full Breakfast in Mid Wales,,,(TBA) with a decent bar and restaurant for your evening meal (not included,,please bear in mind your driving next day!!), I will put together some information sheets for the routes to be worked with your ODO and I will support in my V70 with a 10 gallon drum of water,,,few oil grades , tow straps,, fuses etc. I will include some interesting stops en-route like the German Village (Army Practice ground),, Elan Valley and the highest Mountain Road in Wales. Please PM me if you are interested, the meeting point would be Brecon on the Saturday Morning, and culminating in Welshpool late Sunday afternoon. Thanks Bram Osborne |

Hi Bram
Were new to the club and to the forum. We live in Resolven and own a 164 and a C70. We have friends in the Carmarthen area who have also just joined the Club and have 2 Volvos, an XC60 and a V40. We can see that there is not much activity in South Wales. Perhaps we can arrange a meet and greet in the New Year (or the Spring when the nights get a bit longer). Would you be interested? Shame we missed your run in October. Did you manage to get the 5 cars you were hoping for? Philip and Glenis Jones |
