VOC AGM Sunday 20 March 2016
For those attending the Volvo Owners' club 2015 AGM.
At British Motor Museum Banbury Rd, Gaydon Warwickshire CV35 0BJ There are road works at Junction 12 the turn off for Gaydon. The highways authority extra travel time is not huge say 30 minutes Friday 18th March - Monday 21st March: Southbound M40 on/off slip closure from 09:30 Friday 18th March 06:00 Monday 21st March Traffic lights on the B4451 M40 over bridge from 09:30 16:00 Friday 18th March, then from 18:30 Friday 18th March 06:00 Monday 21st March M40 southbound lane one closed from 09:30 Friday 18th March 06:00 Monday 21st March It seems that it wont be possible to leave the M40 if coming from the north (and its a long way down to the next junction!) The main meeting is 1400 hours Nigel Ayling 16/03/16 |

It all looks a bit confusing Nigel. Arrival from the south appears to be fairly easy but returning to the south via the same junction after the AGM you would appear to have access to the M40 closed. Alternate route looks to be getting to the junction and going across the bridge to Southam and then onto the Banbury road A423 to go south and then join the M40 further south at Banbury J11. Doesn't look to be too much of a problem. From the North come off the M40 at J13 and take the A429 to Wellsebourne. Route from there will mean using very small roads but not a great distance. Look for signs for Moreton Paddox and the B4455 and then the B4100 to Lightthorne and then Gaydon. These are just suggestions, so comments welcome. I'm coming from the south. |
