We are talking at Cross purposes here a D5252T is a DIESEL engine so it really does NOT have "Ignition Timing" .. do you mean "PUMP TIMING"???

If so it can only be done on a Volvo Comp (Vida/Dice) as the pump timing is "Dynamic" & Checked whilst the engine is running...its then a case of Stopping the Engine & "Tweeking" the Pump Pulley to the correct position ..

For Info .. if you DO have a D5252T Diesel pop over to the VW Forum & read up on things there (the D5252T is a VW/Audi Engine used V/Audi Transporters & Various Audi cars ect ect)

I Know (Coz I have an S80 with this engine) that there is an Excellent write up (with Pics) on that Forum about the D5252T Engine
